Over the past 40 years, I have lived, traveled and worked in over 50 countries on 6 continents and across multiple political systems. This blog aims to share my observations and pieces of wisdom collected through my business and travel.

As is the case with our advisory and consulting business, Fontana Global Associates, an overarching theme in all of our work and advice is – sustainability and long term view of business and life. The reason why I selected this theme is simple.  I feel that lack of sustainability and long term view of things is the Achilles’ heel of modern (western culture) business practices.

Supply chains are the engines for today’s global economy, serving to deliver goods and services around the world, connecting businesses and the individuals who work for them across geographic, industry, cultural and regulatory boundaries. By ensuring we are managing and constantly seeking to improve environmental, social and economic performance throughout supply chains, we are also ensuring everyone profits. By incorporating sustainability into its business practices, companies not only act in their own interest and the interests of their stakeholders but also in the interest of the entire society.

Through our work at Fontana Global Associates, we aim to create, protect and grow long-term environmental, social and economic value for all stakeholders involved in bringing products and services to market. In a long run this value will create a more lasting business which in turn will create profits for its owners as well as a value to the consumers and public.
